A Mermaids + Mermen Coloring Book For Adults + Teens
It is FULL of unique mermaid and mermen illustrations that are now in need of a splash of color. I spent a few months sketching and then inking all of these illustrations and then assembled them into a book just for you! It is definitely geared towards adults and teens, however, you will find a few kiddo-friendly pages that are a little bolder with simple linework.
When I was researching coloring books, I noticed that not a lot of the available mermaid-themed coloring books included mermen. Where are all the mermen?!? So I made sure that you will have PLENTY of choices for coloring both mermaids AND mermen. As well as other sea creatures, plants, treasures, bubbles, and so much more. There are many many many hours of fun waiting for you within these pages.
I recommend using colored pencils in this book. However, you can definitely use ink or pens sparingly. Make sure to place a few sheets of copy paper or cardstock between your coloring pages while you work to prevent ink transfers or indentations. I also made you a few test pages for trying out your materials, colors, and techniques. There is even a special page for practicing your shading for scales, bubbles, seaweed before applying that to your masterpiece!
Fun fact: my 2-year-old actually went-to-town on her copy of this coloring book with some cheap markers and somehow it barely bled through the paper. I am extremely impressed. I don’t recommend this coloring technique…. :) But it was surprising to see the paper stand up so well to that wet medium.
I am also cool with you making a copy of your coloring pages onto heavier paper. As long as you are only making a copy for yourself (or your kiddos), I am all for it! Please do not ever distribute my coloring pages (or any other artist’s work) to others. I know it is tempting, but we work really hard to make unique artwork and we really appreciate your support through purchases and encouraging others to purchase their own copies.
I am looking forward to designing many more coloring books in the future. The next themes I have in mind include Woodland Creatures, The Northwoods, Fairies or Fae Folk, Magical Mandalas, and who knows what else!?!?
