Digital Painting in Procreate For Beginners

I just published my 7th Skillshare class today!

This class is designed for people that are newer to Procreate who are interested in exploring the beauty of digital painting by creating an actual painting! You will walk away from class with a finished piece of artwork!

The final project for this class will be an acrylic-style painting of a magical floating island with a big beautiful moon behind it. The painting will have tons of color and texture!

Who Is This Class For:

This is a great class for people who are familiar with Procreate but you DO NOT need to be an expert by any means. I will break the whole painting process down into bite-size bits. You can also pause, slow down, or replay the class as needed. You get to take things at your own pace! There is never a rush!

AND I will be there to support you as needed. You can ask questions in the discussions tab anytime and I will personally respond! :)

Once your painting is done… you will learn how to make surprising and fun color alterations!

You Will Learn:

  • How to set up a canvas with paper textures for painting with a traditional feel

  • How to use a reference photo in different ways

  • How to paint an entire scene by breaking it down and using strategic layers

  • How to experiment with brushes

  • How to use blend modes to enhance your painting

  • How to make fun color adjustments to a painting

  • I believe art-making should be fun and stress-free, so this class encourages experimentation and play!  It's the best way to learn!

So if this sounds like fun to you, join me in class on Skillshare!

See you soon!

ps. if you use the link I have provided to sign up for class, you will get one free month of Skillshare. YAY! I consider Skillshare to be one of the best investments in my mental health, goals, and creative habits every year. There are classes on just about every topic that make it super worthwhile. (Including caring for your house plants… WHAT!?!?) Anyway, you won’t regret a membership. Give it a shot.
